Wide Base 90 Degree Flat Edge Engineering Square
The engineering square is also refered to as Machinist square, the metalworkers’ equivalent of a try square. It consists of a steel blade inserted and either welded or pinned into a heavier body at an angle of 90°. The square is features with notch at the corner to prevent small particles from accumulating and affecting the square’s reading. With such notch, it is difficult to manufacture the square, in other word. it is difficult to manufacturer 90 degree. The purpose of this action is to check for squareness or to mark out the body of the workpiece.
